How to use action button on iPhone 15 Pro




The new Action Button on iPhone 15 Pro is a nifty little feature that gives you quick access to your favorite features with just a press and hold. How to use:


Customize the action button


Go to Settings > Action Button. You'll see a picture of the iPhone 15 Pro with icons representing the different actions you can assign to the button.

Swipe to the action you want to use. The name of the action appears below the dots.

Click on the name of the action to see more options, such as the focus mode you want to activate or which shortcut to launch.

Select the desired option and then tap Back.

Using the action button


Once you've customized an action button, you can use it as follows:


Press and hold the Action button to perform the assigned action.

For some functions, you can press the action button once to display a menu of options. For example, if you assign the Back to Home shortcut to the Actions button, one press will display a list of recently used apps.

Here are some ideas for what you can assign to an action button:


Silent Mode: Quickly put your iPhone on silent or vibrate mode.

Flashlight: Turn on the flashlight immediately.

Camera: Open the Camera app in photo or video mode.

Accessibility Shortcut: Activate a specific accessibility feature, such as Voice Control or Magnifier.

Shortcut: Launch any shortcut you created in the Shortcuts app.

Tips:


You can assign only one action to an action button at a time.

The Actions button cannot be used to turn your iPhone on or off.

If you're wearing a case, make sure it's not blocking the action button.
